Austin-based artist Jane Reichle embroiders colorful, folkish portrayals of characters donning bespoke Western wear, including Nudie suits, vibrant dresses, and other accoutrement inspired by real life clothing. 

Her work explores cherished cult media, iconic fashion, and is staunchly self-expressive. Each piece reveals a love for and a devotion to the process of creation itself. Her works are painstakingly hand stitched and chain stitched with a hand-cranked chain stitch machine. The stitching is densely complex, containing embroidery within embroidery.
